Musical Circle Jam
For more than eight years, every Friday afternoon at 3:00 there has been an acoustic jam at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy. 34). Musicians have ranged from the beginner to the accomplished, and usually number from six to twenty in attendance. It is a very relaxed informal group with those who wish to participate taking turns in a circle, or passing if they choose. All are welcome, whether to play or listen or sing.
Waldport Community Bible Church
The Waldport Community Bible Church is a non-denominational church that meets at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy. 34).

Community Potluck & Bible Study: Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Community Presbyterian Church
The Community Presbyterian Church is hosting a free community breakfast every Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, 485 Bay St. Bring your appetites!
Waldport Lions Club
The Waldport Lions Club meets at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy.34) every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
Alsi Historical & Genealogical Society
The Alsi Historical & Genealogical Society meets the 4th Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the Waldport Heritage Museum, 320 Grant Street.

Thw Waldport Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Fireworks Fundraiser on Saturday, April 14th at the Waldport Moose Lodge. This will be a Macaroni and Cheese Cookoff, with prizes given for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, and dinner, which is served from 5 to 7 pm will consist of macaroni and cheese (go figure!), weiner wraps and coleslaw. Come on out, join your friends and help support our annual 3rd of July pyrotechnic display!

Vendor registration for the annual Wednesday Market will be held on April 21 and April 29 at the Community Center from 10:00 to 1:00. Contact Mark Hovey, Market Coordinator for more information. The Market will begin on Wednesday, May 2 at the Community Center.

"Beat the Wave" - a presentation on minimizing Waldport's risk and vulnerability to tsunami hazards will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Meeting Room, 125 Alsae Highway. This is a kickoff meeting for a tsunami resilience planning project that the City is coordinating with the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD), and the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI). This meeting is open to the public. There will be two areas of focus - evacuation route mapping and consideration of comp plan and land use ordinance amendments to better address development within tsunami inundation areas.

The kickoff event of the Oregon Triple Crown Series, the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 - rain or shine! This event features two bicycle endurance rides, the "Abomination" and the "Son of Abomination" routes, respectively either a 60-mile or 37-mile ride through the Siuslaw National Forest. Both routes traverse unpaved and paved logging roads, with lots of hills for climbing and breathtaking scenery as a reward. For more information or to register, click here.

The Eckman Lake Annual Kid's Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, May 19, at the First Baptist Church. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and activities go until 2:00 p.m. Prizes, food and fun (as well as fishing!) for the whole family!
