  Musical Circle Jam
   For more than eight years, every Friday afternoon at 3:00 there has been an acoustic jam at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy. 34). Musicians have ranged from the beginner to the accomplished, and usually number from six to twenty in attendance. It is a very relaxed informal group with those who wish to participate taking turns in a circle, or passing if they choose. All are welcome, whether to play or listen or sing.

  Waldport Community Bible Church
   The Waldport Community Bible Church is a non-denominational church that meets at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy. 34).
   Church services: Every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
   Community Potluck & Bible Study: Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
   Open to all faiths - Everyone is welcome!

  Community Presbyterian Church
   The Community Presbyterian Church is hosting a free community breakfast every Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, 485 Bay St. Bring your appetites!

  Waldport Lions Club
   The Waldport Lions Club meets at the Waldport Community Center, 265 NW Hemlock (Hwy.34) every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

  Alsi Historical & Genealogical Society
   The Alsi Historical & Genealogical Society meets the 4th Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the Waldport Heritage Museum, 320 Grant Street.


  October 19, 2017
   There will be a fundraiser to benefit the Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue District's special equipment needs. The fundraiser is sponsored by Our Savior Lutheran Church. The event starts at 6 pm and features a Potato Bake, Game Night and Silent Auction. RSVP Ken Fisher at 541-547-5473 and leave a message on the number of guests. Our Savior Lutheran Church is located at 38 Bayview Road. Everyone is encouraged to bring a potluck item such as a main dish, salad, dessert, their toppings for the potatoes, and a favorite game.

  October 24,25, 30th & 31st, 2017
   The Wild West Book Fair "Saddle Up and Read!" will be held at the Crestview Heights Library. They will be open before and after school, during lunch, and on Wednesday during conferences. Proceeds to benefit the Crestview Heights Boosters. Definitely a great opportunity to find good books and support a worthy cause!

   Waldport Public Library: At 5 pm on Thursday, October 26, Friends of the Waldport Library and Oregon Humanities present Jennifer Burns Bright's "Fish Tales: Traditions and Challenges of Seafood in Oregon". Jennifer Burns Bright is a food and travel writer based in Port Orford, Oregon and holds a PhD from the University of California at Irvine and a Master Food Preserver certification. Come find out the answers to questions like "How does that crab get from the ocean to our table?" and "What's the true cost of cheap salmon at the grocery store?"
